Experience Analytics is an event targeted at helping turn companies into insight-driven organisations, using data and learning to become more effective. Deloitte bring together world-leading speakers and experts plus their channel and eco-system partners for a day of learning and networking. Our challenge was to create a live environment that engaged and surprised the audience even though the same venue had been used for the past three years.
We radically changed the floor plan and the delegate flow, massively simplifying the guest experience in terms of wayfinding and giving them a natural path through a complex set of agenda choices. We made our own processes and ideas ‘insight-driven’ working with a technology partner to implement RFID badges for the delegates allowing us to heat-map the space and dynamically respond to crowds and adjust the catering locations to drive traffic to quieter areas. Creatively we took the static event identity and brought it to life through animation and film, and we managed over 20 sponsors onsite too plus a closing drinks reception and entertainment.
Over 400 guests and sponsors onsite enjoyed what Deloitte called “our best event since we started the programme.” Survey results indicated that the overall guest experience surpassed expectations, dwell time at the expo area was up, sponsor area footfall was up and the insight-driven approach gave us granular metrics to assess the efficacy of the new ideas we tried onsite.
